Umich Women's Gymnastics
I've been experimenting with sports photography a lot lately and trying to discover which sports I enjoy photographing the most. With the women's gymnastics meet, I felt right at home. My favorite event had to be the balance beam (maybe there's a more technical gymnastics term for this... I'm not sure). This meet was unique because it was actually a tri meet, so Eastern Michigan and Maryland were competing against Michigan. Michigan pulled off a win!
UMich Men's Gymnastics
On Sunday January 31, 2016, I photographed the University of Michigan Men's Gymnastics team against Ohio State. Unfortunately, UM lost 424.100 to 434.900.
UMich Women's Basketball vs. Minnesota
On Sunday January 31, 2016, I photographed the women's basketball game against Minnesota. The game was in honor of those who have defeated or are currently battling breast cancer, which is why the color pink is so present in all of the photos! UM pulled off a win and the final score was 92-76.
Umich Women's Basketball vs. OSU
On Thursday January 21, 2016, I photographed my first collegiate sport here at Michigan for The Michigan Daily (woo!) I photographed the Michigan Women's basketball game against Ohio State. It was a little frustrating and stressful to shoot the game, seeing as though it was one of the few sports I've actually photographed. Nonetheless, I'm happy to add the experience and techniques I gained to my future work. Unfortunately, the Wolverines lost 93-97 against the Buckeyes, but put up a great fight throughout the game.
